60 books in a year?

I read somewhere recently the average CEO reads 60 books a year. While I am not a CEO nor have I EVER read 60 books in a year, reading is certainly one of my favorite pastimes.

The nerdy part of me would rather read than watch tv or scroll through social media. I love our local public library, I'm obsessed with my library app, and I spend more time on Goodreads than I do on Twitter. I get strange looks when I pull out the book I am currently reading at a hair salon, dentist office, and the carpool line at school. And I have learned to stop asking people what they are currently reading, because apparently us bookworms are few and far between.

My favorite book this year (by far) has been, "The Nightingale" by Kristin Hannah- I loaned out my copy or it would be in this photo. "The Art of Racing in the Rain" is one of my most favorites of the decade. Here are a few books from my bookshelf and my kids' bookshelf that I have also enjoyed recently. What are you currently reading? Or feel free to share your favorite book below!
